For 2011 we continue to add to our product range and this includes new lines on HI-MACS, Moralt Door Blanks and Dartmoor Caberwood Veneered MDF.

Customer demand has encouraged us to invest in a wider range of melamine and laminate products from Kronospan, where we now stock The Natural Touch and Egger.  Investment in additional racking facilities are being made to accommodate this increased stock holding.

To support our sales teams and customers, we have Group Champions for the following product ranges:

• Birch Plywood

Their expertise will lead to more up to date information being readily available to our customers.

Our range of Moralt Door Blanks continues to develop and now includes the high performance db40 and db41 Laminesse Acoustic blanks and the Laminesse Klima External Thermal blank.  Moralt and Flamebreak door blanks form part of our new, larger display at The Building Centre, Store Street, London.

Certified panel products are being specified on a more regular basis now as contractors involved in Government work purchase materials in line with the clearly defined policy.

Demand for timber products across Europe has increased considerably, largely based on new power stations using timber for Biomass fuels.  This will lead to increased timber costs and could lead to actual timber shortages and factory closure in the MDF, Particleboard and OSB sectors.  Prices for these products will inevitably increase throughout 2001 and we will see extended lead times and potentially product shortages.  For more information, please click here.

There appears to be upward price pressure on all plywood products being supplied from China, the Far East and in particular the Baltic States.

Unfortunately 2011 could be the year of continued price increases, which we will try to minimise for our customers.
