Q Mark Wood Flooring Scheme

Q Mark James Latham are proud that they can now offer selected solid product with the Q Mark assurance of quality.  The Bausen range of flooring is the first of it's kind to hold a Q Mark.   The Q-Mark Wood Flooring Scheme is a third-party product certification scheme operated by BM TRADA Certification Ltd (BM TRADA).

The scheme is based on recognised quality assurance standards (ISO9001, EN45011/12, ISO Guide 62/65) and confirms compliance to EN 13226 -  (Wood flooring. Solid parquet elements with grooves and/or tongues) in conjunction with EN 14342 (Wood flooring - Characteristics, evaluation of conformity and marking) together with a specific set of performance criteria set by BM TRADA as part of the scheme rules.

The scheme covers factory production control, documentation and test/assessment evidence, and the resultant certification is specific to clearly defined products and their constituent components.

The objectives of the scheme are:

  • To improve the quality and performance of wood flooring
  • To provide unambiguous evidence of compliance with the standards
  • To provide manufacturers with a clear route to CE marking
  • To provide specifiers, regulators and inspection authorities with the appropriate information for them to identify suitable products
