Latin Name : Pinus Caribaea

Yellowish to reddish brown heartwood with small bands of sapwood which is lighter in colour.  Distinct contrast between earlywood and latewood bands giving flame figure on flat sawn board.  A heavy and hard softwood with high strength which is traditionally used for church furnishings.
