Thinner Surface Facings
The structure of the Moralt Laminboard core and the smooth surface it provides is such that they are able to offer their blanks with thinner Chipboard, MDF and Plywood veneer facings. The Spruce core has a density of 450kg/m3 which means we are able to supply a relatively lightweight solid timber door blank that is still very stable.
Exclusive to Moralt - Spruce Core Single Batten Dovetail Construction
Laminboard ply with vertically standing annual tree-rings consisting of approx 5mm thick rotary peeled veneers, which are glued together. The individual battens are each offset thus creating a unique dovetail construction effect in the core.
Advantages:
> Greatest strength through to spruce core single batten dovetail construction
> Smooth surface due to homoge nous distribution of the individual battens and the layers of vertically-standing annual tree-tings
