Halspan
Halspan Particle Door Cores Halspan is a 3-layer particleboard construction made with 100% softwood from managed sustainable forests. Its high density ripple free surface is ideally suited for laminating, veneering, painting with suitable primers and with Sureguard PVC edgings an facings. tested for fire to thirty and sixty minutes to BS 476 Pt 22 in all configurations. Apertures can be cut for vision panels and a wide range of glass types and glazing systems can be used. NOTE: Halspan has been further fore tested with different gluing systems to allow the use of PVA, PU and Hot melt. No longer restricted to UF for fire application. Halspan is supported with technical literature and a telephone helpline. All Halspan door blanks are subject to BM Trada audit and random audit fire testing for Third Party Assurance.

Halspan Prima offers large leaf sizes in FD30 and FD60 applications; is tested to Severe Duty - defined as being subjected to frequent violent use; may be installed in Softwood, (FD30), Hardwood, MDF, Aluminium and Steel frames; and gives 34db SRI RW acoustic performance. Panel style doors can be constructed using Halspan Prima. 38mm Halspan blanks are also available from some depots. We are also able to offer Halspan Optima for less exacting applications.
