Flexible Veneer
Decoflex is a flexible veneer which is available in a wide variety of wood species. It has a thickness of +/- 0.6mm and is glued onto paper substrate. The veneer structure is then processed so as to break down the veneer structure. The result is a veneer product with an unparalleled degree of flexibility making it the ideal product of an equally wide variety of applications. The layons are jointed to size and glued onto a paper backing sheet. Thereafter the fibres are broken in order to achieve the characteristic flexibility of Decoflex. Following this the sheets are sanded to achieve a fine surface. Decoflex can be applied with PVA glues, contact adhesive and UF glues, depending on what machinery the end user has available. The speed of finishing is undoubtedly the biggest advantage. Decoflex can be glued very quickly onto any base board or other surface.
