Medite Tricoya

Medite Tricoya is a new product. It is an Extreme Durable MDF.

Medite Tricoya is described by TRADA's Technical Manager, Dr Andy Pitman, as 'absolutely unique' and that Medite Tricoya is 'one of the greatest advances in board products over the past 10 years'.

Medite Tricoya has been developed in joint partnership between Medite Europe and Accsys Technologies. Accsys successfully developed and commercialised Accoya Wood. Accoya wood is characterised by its durability, dimensional stability and reliability properties and have been replicated in the wood fibre used to manufacture Medite Tricoya.

The new design and application possibilities offered by the marriage of acetylated wood fibre with the manufacturing technology of Medite MDF is set to excite and stimulate composite product manufacturers, designers, architects and the construction industry alike, opening up new possibilities and solutions.

The functionality and versatility of wood based composite panels give them universal appeal. When properties such as high strength, light weight, good insulation, excellent machinability and ease in use are required, Medite MDF is the ideal choice for many applications.

APPLICATIONS
The potential applications for Medite Tricoya are far ranging and will inspire creativity and discovery, particularly in environments where humidity and weather are usually concerns.
