James Latham Gateshead - Trainee Warehouse Operative

James Latham, the leading timber and panel product distributor, currently have an exciting opportunity for a warehouse operative to join our established team at our Gateshead Depot.

We are a family-based business with our history going back to 1757.

• The successful candidate will be working to a one-shift system
• Hours will be from 09:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.  Occasional overtime will be required to cover staff shortages during the year.
• The role is a mixture of manual handling and use of mechanical plant, it will mainly involve warehouse duties, including picking order, collections, goods inwards and loading of vehicles.
• A valid Combi-lift or Counter-balance licence is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience working with timber and panel products is preferred but not essential. Additional training will be provided.
