James Latham Business COVID-19 Update: 30.06.20

We continue to refine our contingency plans and business continuity activities to operate as efficiently as possible during the Covid19 crisis. The health of our staff is of primary importance and our technology is being deployed to good effect to get those that can work at home to do so while we continue to support and supply our valued customers.

We have been proud to support demand from customers supporting NHS and critical projects during these uncertain times. Increasing numbers of customers who chose to temporarily close their businesses are now either open or planning to return, many with a skeleton staff and no doubt with reduced activity, although we can see some promising signs of recovery for all of us.

I am pleased to announce that all of our distribution sites are now operational including 10 James Latham sites, LDT, Dresser Mouldings and our 2 Abbey Wood sites in Ireland. Our Manchester showroom is also open, with visits by appointment only. We continue to fulfil customers’ requirements from  our network either by delivery or pre arranged collections, with new procedures in place to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Due to recent government restrictions, our Leicester depot cannot currently offer a collection service, but will continue deliveries to business premises only. These deliveries will require automated unloading, or pre-arranged manual offloads without the assistance of our drivers.

Our sales and administration teams across the UK remain contactable in the normal way. We continue to review this situation and government policy and will keep you fully informed of any changes through our usual communication channels including social media and the James Latham website.
