The Egger range of Fire Door Cores are highly engineered, 44mm and 54mm particleboards.

Manufactured in the UK from a selected wood chip mix, the door cores form an integral component in a door’s front line fire protection. EGGER fire door cores are designed to provide a minimum of 30 and 60 minutes fire resistance.

EUROSPAN® fire-rated door blanks have exceeded the minimum requirements set out in the BS476 Part 20/22: 1987 and have also been certified within the BM Trada scheme for Q-Mark Fire Doors.

Additionally, and in accordance with DD171 and EN1192, Egger fire-rated door blanks attained the highest level of classification “Severe Duty”, giving the user the confidence they are robust enough to be used in all environments, from apartments and offices to schools and hospitals.

Egger fire door cores comply to UK Building Regulation Approved Document E, having been successfully tested for acoustic performance.
