Fire retardant particleboard for use in dry conditions as non structural component. FR chipboard is suitable for applications where low reactivity to fire and flame spread is essential (stairwells, exit routes, lift shafts, corridors etc.); Our range of FR chipboard panels comply with reaction for fire Class B as per EN3501 and is CE marked for non structural usage under attestation system 1. It guarantees our customers that initial inspection, continuous surveillance and evaluation of factory production control are supervised by external third party.

Our stock item in FR chipboard has smooth and homogeneous surface. It accepts any type of decorative coating. Due to the fire retardant salts used it is advisable to adjust the resin/process to be used in its coating. For example Finsa offers a type of resin specially developed for this process.

Intended use:   Internal use as non structural component in dry  conditions.

The description of the FR product and the field of application given in the classification report should always be compared with the specification of the timber components to be used in any particular project, to ensure that the classification in the report can be taken to apply to the timber products to be used in the project.

All our FR chipboard range has low emission formaldehyde rate (E1 class); upon request all boards are fully certified.
