Thanks to its antimicrobial protection, Lamishield, in conjunction with good hygiene and cleaning practice, can reduce the risk of cross-contamination and inhibit the growth of a broad spectrum of microbes. The BioCote® silver-ion technology is fully incorporated into the decorative layer - as a result, Lamishield reduces the level of bacteria on its surface by up to 99.9%.

The technology does not affect normal HPL performance or its appearance in any way other than imparting and enhancing its antibacterial qualities, so the laminates still maintain their resistance to wear, scratch and impact.
