Botanical Name: Quercus robur / Quercus petraea
Colour light tan to biscuit with silver grey figure on quarter-sawn. Usually straight grained but varies with growing conditions. This is an increasingly popular timber with interior designers and shopfitters. Moderately durable.
Specification: Prime Quality Square Edged.
Uses: Furniture and cabinet work, interior and exterior joinery. Ideal for tight cooperage for cognac, ecclesiastical work, flooring, veneers and shopfitting.
