James Latham is one of the UK and Ireland’s largest independent distributors of timber, panels and decorative surfaces.
We supply products to a broad range of trade customers. Please note: due to the nature of our business and our delivery vehicles, we are unable to supply to the general public.
We work with merchants and distributors, construction professionals, designers, joiners and makers, architects and more, enabling the most demanding and ambitious designs and construction projects to become reality.
In addition to a huge range of hardwoods, modified softwoods and engineered timber sections, we stock a broad portfolio of solid surfaces, laminates, melamines, veneers, construction sheet materials and thermoplastics from some of the world’s most recognised brands, as well as many exclusive boutique collections. We continually seek innovative and exciting products to add to our portfolio in order to supply our customers with the best quality and choice.
Our timber products are sourced from the finest sawmills in the world, and fully certified. We are the UK’s largest stockist of Accoya® and exclusive stockists of Woodex® engineered timber.
Our people are as important as our product ranges. We offer exceptional service and employ some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. We invest heavily in our product knowledge and our specialist product managers are able to offer solutions and advice in the most challenging of applications.
Lathams Ltd is the trading subsidiary of James Latham PLC, with 12 trading depots operating from sites located in Dudley, Fareham, Gateshead, Hemel Hempstead, Leeds, Purfleet, Scotland, Thurrock, Leicester, Yate, Dublin and Belfast. The recent Group acquisitions in Dublin and Belfast mean our operation now extends beyond the UK to Northern Ireland and the Republic.
As well as our distribution depots, the Group includes a specialist plywood division and an architectural moulding and timber cladding division, as well as a bulk timber and panels service.
Advanced Technical Panels (ATP) are the industry-leading specialist distributors of sustainably sourced Phenol-faced plywoods, lightweight polypropylene lining sheets and thermoplastics, as well as our own Buffalo® branded products. ATP supply to a range of sectors including commercial vehicle lining and protection, non-slip trailer flooring, staging and event surfaces and high impact recreation and play materials. as well as providing specialist solutions for aviation and medical applications.
Dresser Mouldings, our specialist timber cladding and mouldings division, supplies customers directly, as well as supporting our network of distribution depots, providing a complete service - from manufacturing and profiling through to coating and finishing - producing quality products that meet the highest aesthetic and performance standards.
LDT (Latham Direct Timber), Latham Direct Panels (LDP) and LDT Ireland provide bulk quantities of timber and panels straight from the port to timber and builders merchants throughout the UK and Ireland.
