James Latham Leeds - Timber Sales Representative

James Latham, a family-based business since 1757 and the leading Timber and Panel product distributor, are currently looking for an ambitious Timber Sales Executive.
Whilst working for the Leeds depot, the ideal candidate would be based in the local area and should have a sound knowledge of the Timber industry. They should also have the desire to develop and support existing business along with a major focus in generating new business.
A knowledge of the customer base, in particular the North-West would be an advantage but not essential & we would provide ongoing training to further the successful candidate’s development.
We see this as an exciting opportunity and would involve hybrid working between office & customer visits.
Responsibilities of the role would include:

Being highly motivated with demonstrable success in sales.

Excellent communication skills.

Being able to travel to visit customers and the depot as required.

Great IT skills & ability to communicate effectively using digital formats.

Market awareness to understand pricing strategy and margins.

Supporting the Timber Manager in day-to-day trading activities.

Proactively sourcing new business & working as part of a team to achieve goals.

Account Management.

An understanding of the development of digital trading.

Have a desire to succeed and develop a positive career within a forward thinking and successful business.
The successful candidate would report directly to the Timber Manager in Leeds.
