Yellow Cedar is one of the world’s most durable woods. It is resistant to corrosion and decay and offers natural resilience making it is ideal for cladding and screens. It has a distinctive, uniform pale yellow colour and is fine textured and straight grained. It is relatively stable and shares virtually all the characteristics of Western Red Cedar but is a more consistent creamy light brown/yellow colour.  It takes UV stains and oils well and can look a lot like Red Cedar once finished with a tinted stain.  It will weather beautifully to a silvery grey colour over time.
